speeds and need careful tweaking.I am sure the CPU temperature will remain reasonable at

Took me a few minutes to fit, along with a dab of artic silver, and it's really managing
to keep the V5 temp down! Couldn't be happier... even overclocked the coolers are doing a

I bought a new heatsink because my processor kept on overheating, so I researched

coolers, and now there is a SIGNIFICANT improvement in performance. I just received your package and would like to

you guys. I purchased a Lasagna BGA Cooler for my Geforce
board because the stock heatsink/fan was too hot to even touch (this is on a
non-overclocked board). The Lasagna keeps the card a much more tolerable luke warm now.
The added bonus is that my system can now wakeup from standby. Before when my system would
go on standby, the GeForce's builtin fan would shut off and cause the card to overheat.
When it would attempt to wakeup the machine would crash with weird artifacts on the
screen. Since the Lasagna runs directly off the power supply, it keeps the card cool even
in standby - no more hangups. Super! You get my vote for customer service!!!!
This is the quickest handling of a problem that I have ever seen!! :) I'll get that in the

guess now, and its been a good one, just got to clean it out now and then like all the
others. (and just order another one) Thank you for the quick shipment of my order. I
am extremely pleased with the performance of the TennMax P3 STF
cooler. I have a 500 mhz PIII which I had been running at 333 mhz because it ran so
hot with the CTK cooler. At 333 mhz the CPU was 134 degrees and the MB was 95 degrees.
With the TennMax P3 STF the CPU running at 500 mhz is 86 deegrees and the MB is 80
degrees. Now I can finally get the full performance of my 500 mhz PIII thanks to TennMax
And not have to worry about the CPU melting down! Popped in both units (the Lasagna
on the BX and P3 STF Cooler) and dropped my operating temp
15°C and proceeded to overclock the P3 600 (100FSB) to 672 (not supposed to be able to do
that!) with no hiccups and no increase in temp. Marvelous little devices!
Thanks, I did what you suggested and it helped. The
temp. runs about 102 to 104 now. It's too bad they put the processor on the bottom of the
card for tower cases, it would cool so much better if it was on the top. I should mention
that my FSB is clocked to 133 on a BX chipset (Type A Cooler) forcing my video to
run at 89Mhz (Type B Cooler on Matrox G400). So, 102F isn't too bad.

everyone of my friends. Thank's to your attention. Good work. Recently i bought the MEGA7 cooler for my Celemine 566 FCPGA to allow it to run cool @ 850 mhz. To no avail .... I thought i was just one of the unlucky owners that simply got a lemon out of all the VERY potent 566. Yesterday i cleaned my computer after installing
a new soundcard and i looked at the cooler surface (wehere it meets the cpu once more. The
thermal conductive tape was all met away and turned into a sticky mess. I could not see
how this greasy and sticky substance could ever conduct heat so i scraped it all off and
cleaned the top of the Cpu as well. I used a fair share of that white thermal paste
allowing the cpu to complete dissapear (a lot of paste) and replaced the cooler so i ws
now on top of the cpu with a lot of that white goo in between and no more tape ...
Guess what, i have been running at 850 mhz now for 8 hours straight and this includes 6
hours of continuesly 3Dmark benchmarking to make sure it was stable. Everything i read about this setup (P3 STF) is true... nothing in the universe installs this easy !!! Feb 5, 2001 Note from a ASUS customer on temperature sensing problem: just want to let you know what i discovered. the problem was not related to any heat problem (with Lasagna Cooler). it seemed that a normal temp of my card (acording to internet research) is between 52~74 celsius (125~165 fahrenheit ) the problem was in the software that Asus supplied with the card. it is the software called " smart doctor" which monitors the card (temp & rpm) causing all the problem, after uninstall it everything is ok. if you get e-mail from custmers with Asus cards that share the same problem tell them to see if shutting down the smart doctor. thanks for everything :-) Edan Avny January 8, 2001 TennMax decides to keep the same shipping and handling schedule, despite substantial rate hike, starting today, by US Post Office.
